This afternoon the sold sticker will be put up on the sign outside our little Wamberal home and in six weeks we will be on our way to our new life in Tasmania.
After much to-ing and fro-ing between the buyer, agent and us we finally agreed on a price and signed the contract for sale this morning. I have to admit I was more than disappointed with the price, because it meant we lost a bit in the changeover, but after seeing the stress it was putting Harvey under and the time I was taking out of work while I vacated the premises for people to view, I decided it was better to cut our losses and start fresh at a new address.
The deal was sealed this morning when our agent, Tracy from McGrath, dropped over a bottle of Moet for us to celebrate. It was a lovely gesture on her part and reflects how we feel about the job she has done in selling our home. Tracy is a fantastic real estate agent and worked hard to sell our home for us.
So now it will be a mad rush to organise removalists, a new home to live in, transport and everything else that goes with moving home – and a business.
Now is when the adventure really starts!
