Both Noah and Ethan love cheese, so it wasn’t hard for me to say yes to Bega when I was asked to review Bega Stringers.
We invited the boys’ friends Mason and Xavier over for afternoon tea one sunny afternoon for our cheese taste test. Each of the four boys tried a Bega Stringer and while Mason wasn’t keen on the different shape (he is used to sliced cheese), the other three thought Stringers were “yum”. Xavier’s favourite was the original mozarella flavour (but he turned shy when the camera came out). Ethan liked the cheddar flavour and Noah’s preference was for Swiss. They both like the stretchy “hair” that could be created with the Stringers. See more of what they say on film below.

The Bega team were very generous and sent caps and pens in the cheese pack, making them heroes of both boys.
I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture of each of the three Bega Stringers flavours (I had to try in the interests of fair blogging), assuming they would taste a bit plasticky. I can see why the kids liked them.
Bega fact 1: Bega Stringers were launched in 1998.
Bega fact 2: the basic ingredients of cheddar cheese are milk, rennet, starter culture and salt.
Bega fact 3: the original butter factory opened in Bega in 1900.
