I love the thought of creating new family traditions and we added a new one this year – Easter Bunny footprints!
Even though we were in Hobart on Easter Sunday, the Easter Bunny worked with us and delayed his visit by a day so it was a combined Easter and ANZAC Day at our house. On Sunday night I prepared the boys’ Easter presents and sat them on a table inside the dining room with flour footprints leading from the chimney (Noah said that’s where the Easter Bunny comes into the house) to the table.
I also hid 20 chocolate eggs inside and outside the house, with 10 clues leading them from one to the next with their bags filling up. I’ve done this since Noah was two and this year they were both into the hunt, excited to hear the next rhyming clue so it made it extra fun! Afterwards Harvey exercised his right to having family traditions and continued his, where you could eat an egg before breakfast. Of course the boys thought that was a great idea.
