Watery Inspiration

February 21, 2013 By webadmin

“O! for a muse of fire, that would ascend the brightest heaven of invention.” ~ William Shakespeare

On our trip to St Helens yesterday we saw some truly amazing sites – rocks alight at the Bay of Fires, a purple possum at St Marys (great cafe by the way), whiter than white sand and fields and fields of mauve poppies.

We loved our trip to Tasmania’s east coast, driving through the fertile Fingal Valley and coming out at the sandy shores of Scamander, Beaumaris and finally St Helens. The four of us shared fish and chips at the waterfront park, wandered along the town’s streets and then drove through the Bay of Fires conservation area, past desolate white and turquoise beaches to The Gardens. Here we shared the view with tourists on Harleys (one a covered trike with a trailor).
