Today was the most glorious winter’s day – not just because the sun warmed our backs, but also because we had a day filled with activities everyone enjoyed.
Our day started with a spot of retail therapy at the Launceston Apron Design Market, which entertained me more than the kids, but they still enjoyed finding lovely hand-made treasures in the stalls.
From the Seaport we headed to the beach! The kids were so excited, they didn’t finish the fish and chips we bought for lunch. As they inpatiently kicked off their shoes, I pulled off their socks and Ethan started rubbing his feet to feel the grains of sand on his soft skin (I do the same every chance I get). The boys spent a long time creating sand castles – the “biggest ever” according to Ethan – and getting so damp we had to find a change of clothes for both (we only had spare clothes for Ethan so Noah looked even more lanky than usual).
Our beach adventure finished with coffee at Bridport Cafe, which proudly displayed this bike out the front. I couldn’t resist taking another photo with Instagram’s fun filters – something I’ve watched others use for months, but only discovered when I became in iPhone owner this week.
